This course will give an overview of IPv6, infrastructure design issues, planning and transition techniques. Especially focus on IPv6-related security issues and how to mitigate.
In addition, another very important security issue is to secure the Internet routing. RPKI security technology is currently deployed around the world. RPKI can help us protect global routing system together.
Khóa học sẽ giới thiệu tổng quan về IPv6, vấn đề về kiến trúc hạ tầng, quy hoạch cũng như kỹ thuật chuyển đổi sang IPv6. Đặc biệt tập trung vào những vấn đề bảo mật liên quan đến IPv6 và những phương án giúp giảm thiểu bảo mật.
Ngoài ra, một vấn đề mật cần quan tâm cần chú trọng đó chính là bảo mật cho việc định tuyến trên mạng Internet. Kỹ thuật bảo mật RPKI hiện được triển khai khắp thế giới và cũng đã phổ biến tại Việt Nam. RPKI có thể giúp chúng ta cùng nhau bảo vệ định tuyến toàn cầu.
'This technical workshop, made up of lectures and hands-on lab modules, is targeted at anyone who is involved in Internet technology standards, local and national network infrastructure deployment, and day to day network operations.
• The first part of the workshop focuses on IPv6 security with the aim of understanding security concerns and issues faced by operators. The session will take you through the pitfalls of IPv6 and it’s (in)security issues and discuss how to better secure your IPv6 environment.
• The second part of the workshop will examine current route filtering tools/techniques, discuss RPKI and how RPKI is just a piece in the puzzle, and recommend best practices to secure the internet routing.

Requirement
• Online: Participants are advised to bring their own laptop or desktop computers with high speed internet access and administrative access to system. It is also recommended that computers have Intel i5 or i7 processor, >=8GB of RAM and 30GB of free hard disk space.
• Software: SSH Client, Telnet Client (PuTTy)
• Confirm Secure SHell (SSH) is allowed from the office or home network to access the lab infrastructure. Test ssh connectivity, try to connect to route-views.routeviews.org.

Before joining APNIC, Jessica spent six years in Huawei, providing technical training to engineers and administrators from more than 15 nations.

Sheryl (Shane) Hermoso is a Network Operations Engineer and a Senior Technical Trainer at APNIC. Before joining APNIC, Shane had various roles as a Network Engineer, managing the enterprise network backbone and wireless infrastructure. Shane regularly presents on routing issues at conference and training events throughout the Asia Pacific.
Sheryl (Shane) Hermoso là Kỹ sư vận hành mạng và là Giảng viên kỹ thuật cấp cao tại APNIC.
